REQUIREMENT

  • The Heart of Tea, Fundamentals Course is highly recommended for most people as this course will expand upon the information taught in the heart of tea course.

  • This course requires a fundamental understanding of the main types of tea and their processing and fundamental understanding of tea preparation.

  • If you are practiced in tea preparation and have a good understanding of the main types of tea and their processing and you want to expand on this information then this course is for you.

Day 1 Monday

Lesson 1 : The Path of Tea
Learn the origin and history of tea and discover your own journey with tea

1-4 PM
Lesson 2 : Seven Genres of Tea
Learn about the seven main types of tea (white, green, yellow, wulong, red, black, pu'er) and understand how they are made and their history and origin

Day 2 Tuesday

8-11 AM
Lesson 3 : 5 Elements of Tea
Learn the best water for tea and the best way to heat it. Also learn about how to choose and utilize the best teaware

1-4 PM
Lesson 4 : Tea Preparation
Learn the fundamentals of tea preparation to start making delicious tea for yourself and others

Day 3 Wednesday

8 AM - 4 PM
Lesson 5 : Tea in Indonesia
Trip to Tea Farm
Visit a biodynamic organic tea farm here in Bali and see first hand the cultivation and processing of sustainable tea

Day 4 Thursday

8-11 AM
Lesson 6 : Cha Dao, The Way of Tea
Learn a traditional tea ceremony and explore the spiritual and philosophical side of living a life with tea

1-4 PM
Lesson 7 : Setting The Tea Table
Learn the fundamental elements to create a beautiful ChaXi - tea stage for serving tea

8-11 AM
Lesson 8 : Sensory Analysis of Tea
Your first step to becoming a tea sommelier. Learn to evaluate tea like a professional

Lesson 9 : Tea as Medicine
Learn to utilize tea for your own health and well-being
